Annual week of action brings together the infertility and family building community to raise awareness and drive change
RESOLVE: The National Infertility and Family Building Association will recognize National Infertility Awareness Week® (NIAW), April 19 through April 25, 2026.
The annual commemoration and week of action brings together millions of Americans working to break the stigma and remove barriers that stand in the way of everyone being able to build the family of their dreams. Throughout the week, RESOLVE will mobilize the infertility and family building community to spotlight gaps in access to care, affordability, treatment options, and emotional support.
“Too many people are still facing unnecessary barriers when trying to build a family,” said Danielle Melfi, CEO of RESOLVE: The National Infertility and Family Building Association. “From limited access to care to financial hurdles and evolving policy challenges, the reality is that millions are being left without the support they need. National Infertility Awareness Week is a critical moment to elevate these stories and push for meaningful change – and we’re grateful to our partners who are helping expand access, raise awareness, and support this community.”
Throughout the week, RESOLVE and the larger infertility advocacy community will participate in several events and activities, including:
- RESOLVE along with partner Progyny and creative director and designer Whitney Port will light the Empire State Building orange on Monday, April 20 (@whitneyeveport on Instagram).
- Your Fertility Matters: A Sip & Shop (April 23, 2026): In partnership with M.M.LaFleur, RESOLVE will host a panel discussion at the Bryant Park showroom focused on bringing fertility. conversations earlier into women’s lives. The event will feature experts and women with lived experience, followed by networking, styling, and shopping, with 10% of proceeds benefiting RESOLVE.
- Buildings and monuments across the U.S. will shine bright in orange including Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN, New York, NY and more.
- Healthcare providers and community advocates are hosting events and fundraisers both virtually and in-person.
