RESOLVE and American Society for Reproductive Medicine Partner to Advocate for Access to Care for Family Building Community

(April 10, 2019 Washington, DC) RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). The partnership will accelerate RESOLVE’s grassroots advocacy efforts and enhance its Coverage at Work Program.

Access to care is a significant problem for many Americans who struggle to build a family. Whether it is due to lack of insurance coverage or anti-family public policies, real barriers exist for far too many people. For most of its 45-year history, RESOLVE has fought for the rights of all people to access all family building options.

ASRM has committed to a three-year investment in RESOLVE’s Access to Care programs, which will allow for new staff resources to grow these important programs that directly impact the ability of people to build their family. RESOLVE’s grassroots advocacy work recruits and trains people to advocate at the state and federal level for policy changes that increase access to all family building options. The Coverage at Work Program empowers employees to advocate with their employer to increase benefits that make family building easier and affordable.

Through its tireless grassroots advocacy initiatives, RESOLVE has led the infertility community to achieve significant legislative victories that have increased access to fertility treatments,” said Peter Schlegel, MD, ASRM President. “We are proud to partner with RESOLVE to continue this momentum, amplify the patient voice, and make family building options accessible to anyone who needs them.”

“We thank ASRM for this significant investment in an area of the utmost importance to our community – access to care,” said Barbara Collura, President & CEO, RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association. “ASRM has been a strong supporter of the patient community and has partnered with RESOLVE for many years on state and federal legislation. We appreciate this generous grant that will fuel growth in RESOLVE’s access to care work, but more importantly, we expect more people will be able to build their family as a result of our joint efforts.
