National Infertility Awareness Week® brings awareness to issues facing 1 in 6 people
RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association (RESOLVE) will recognize National Infertility Awareness Week®, (NIAW) April 20 through April 26, 2025. The movement, started by RESOLVE in 1989, brings together millions of Americans who want to remove the stigmas and barriers that stand in the way of building families. #AllinFertility, our theme for this year, is a message that talks about how community, support, and advocacy help create solutions for the real problems that 1 in 6 people with infertility often face.
“RESOLVE knows first-hand that when people and companies are committed to this cause and address the barriers to building families such as lack of access to equitable medical care and emotional support, real change happens. We need to use this awareness moment to shine a light on the people and the companies who are making a difference and changing lives. NIAW is a week-long opportunity to say to yourself ‘What can I do to help’?” said Barbara Collura, RESOLVE’s President/CEO. “In today’s political climate, our stories are more important than ever.”
A few highlights of the week include:
- RESOLVE’s 5-Day Challenge: Social media activities that help the community lead conversations about the challenges they face when trying to build a family.
- Buildings and monuments across the U.S. will shine bright in orange including Pittsburgh, PA, Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN, New York, NY; Niagara Falls and more.
- Healthcare providers and community advocates are hosting events and fundraisers both virtually and in-person.
- RESOLVE along with partner Progyny and content creators and infertility advocates, The Pasinis will light the Empire State Building orange on Monday, April 21 (@thepasinis on Instagram).
- Volunteer-led Walks of Hope are happening in 12 locations around the country. These are community-based fundraising walks that bring together people with infertility and those that support them.
RESOLVE’s National Infertility Awareness Week 2025 is supported by the following partners: Church & Dwight Co., Inc. makers of First Response™; CooperSurgical, EMD Serono, Ferring Pharmaceuticals; Meitheal Fertility; Natera; Progyny; and US Fertility.
