Filtering the Support Group Directory- You can filter the Support Group Directory by the following options:
- By state
- By city/regions
- By topic: Find support groups that are open to specific audiences or group discussion related to medical conditions or family building options.
- By category:
- Virtual Peer-Led Support Groups: Lead and organized by RESOLVE volunteers. Volunteers receive training, but they don’t give advice or act as professionals. Groups that meet online through third party video conference platforms (i.e., Zoom, Google meet up, WhatsApp, etc.). Virtual support groups are open to all regardless of location, unless otherwise stated in the description of the group.
- In-Person Peer-Led Support Groups: Lead and organized by RESOLVE volunteers. Volunteers receive training, but they don’t give advice or act as professionals. Groups meet in a pre-determined locations in their local communities. Sign up and contact the Host before attending in-person support groups.
- Professionally-Led Support Groups: Organized and lead by state licensed mental health professionals. Most professionally-led groups are only open to in-state patients and include a fee to participate.
Signing up for a support group:
- Select the group you are interested in to read more about the groups. (Tip: Open multiple listings by right clicking your mouse and select, "open link in a new tab.")
- Find the “Support Group Sign Up” button in the listing of the support group you would like to participate in.
- The support group leader/host will reach out to you in a few days to confirm next steps for participation.
- If you have not heard from the support group leader/host within a reasonable time (3 to 5 business days), please email supportgroups@resolve.org.
