Our Team:
Barbara Collura serves as the President/CEO of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and has led the organization since 2007. Barbara is a nationally recognized expert on infertility and the family building journey, with a special emphasis on advocacy, public policy, and access to care. Barbara has worked with the World Health Organization on infertility definitions and clinical guidelines, worked with ACOG on their clinical definitions for infertility, and served a four-year term on the Advisory Council of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at NIH. Along with being a frequent guest speaker at medical conferences,
Barbara has been a guest on CNN, TODAY Show, MSNBC, NPR, Fox & Friends, and Nightline. She is routinely quoted in major media outlets including the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, and Politico on a variety of topics related to infertility. Kristy joined RESOLVE in 2022 and brings more than 15 years of volunteer coordinating experience. She has worked in the hospice field, coordinating volunteers for eight years. In addition, Kristy serves as the Women’s and Social Media Director for Oasis Church in Radford, VA, and the Volunteer Executive Director of Engagement and Social Media, her favorite non-profit ministry, for over ten years. Kristy’s background is in hospitality management, and she completed her studies at East Carolina University.
As RESOLVE’s Volunteer Coordinator, Kristy is responsible for supporting, recruiting, onboarding, and matching prospective volunteers to RESOLVE’s various volunteer opportunities. Kristy serves as the point of contact for requests related to support groups and helpline inquiries.
Kristy resides in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia in Radford. She lives with her husband, Michael, of 20 years; Kalee, her 13-year-old daughter; Emilee, her 11-year-old daughter; Autumn, her 8-year-old foster daughter; and her Saint Berdoodle, Oaklee. Ayesha Audu was most recently the Anti-Human Trafficking Outreach and Education Coordinator at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, where she led presentations on human trafficking and healthy interpersonal relationships throughout the Cuyahoga County region. Her prior advocacy experience also includes serving as a Legal Fellow with the Women’s Law Project in Pittsburgh, PA. Ayesha has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Case Western Reserve University and a law degree from Columbia Law School. As RESOLVE’S Grassroots Advocacy Manager, she is responsible for managing key elements of RESOLVE’S government affairs program and engagement with grassroots and grass-tops advocates to advance positive family building policy and stop anti-family legislation in Congress and state legislatures.
Marnee Beck joined the staff of RESOLVE in 2010 and is currently the Senior Manager, Digital Assets. Marnee has worked in nonprofit associations for more than 27 years including the Council on Foundations and most recently the Association for Talent Development in Alexandria, VA. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College and earned a Masters degree from the George Washington University. She is passionate about breaking the silence of infertility through the use of social media and the internet. She and her husband Eric live in Herndon.

Simeonne Bookal joined RESOLVE in 2012. Since her introduction into RESOLVE as the Administrative Assistant, Simeonne has developed her professional skills as an experienced events & program manager. In her current role, Simeonne is responsible for the planning and implementation of marketing and communications strategies that contribute to various RESOLVE awareness and advocacy campaigns. In addition, Simeonne oversees the vision and strategy for RESOLVE’s volunteer services, programs, and initiatives related to peer-led support groups and helpline. Originally from Canada, Simeonne grew up with the opportunity to travel to many countries and spent four years in Saudi Arabia with her mother, a nurse specializing in IVF treatment. Growing up with a mother in the reproductive field, gave Simeonne awareness about the infertility journey from a young age. Clarissa Cain is coming to us from Newport News, VA. She most recently worked for MediaCross, as a Support Specialist, on the Norfolk Naval Station. Prior, while employed with RainSoft, she was ranked globally as the #3 Marketing Manager. She currently maintains a sales coordinator position with Juice Plus.
Clarissa is excited to be joining the RESOLVE team. Having a personal passion for those dealing with infertility challenges, she is looking forward to helping make RESOLVE successful in their mission. She works as our Development Coordinator, so she helps maintain our database, process donations, manage reports and really is a behind the scenes advocate for infertility. Her favorite part of the job is seeing families grow and being a part of making that happen. Clarissa studied at Regent University and is still in pursuit of a business degree which she plans to utilize in her career here at RESOLVE.
Clarissa is looking forward to meeting everyone on the team and working hard to help RESOLVE serve the community, one person at a time. She is excited to be a part of the team and has long term plans for her future here at RESOLVE. In her free time, she and her dog go hiking, kayaking, and camping. She also loves all sorts of arts, crafts and puzzles.
Michelle Chavez joined RESOLVE in 2022. She is a graduate from George Mason University, where she majored in government and international politics with a concentration in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Her prior work experience includes an internship at the United States Congress with Representative Espaillat, where she answered constituent inquiries, took notes during Congressional briefings, helped organize Hill events, and drafted social media posts. As RESOLVE’S Advocacy Coordinator, she tracks state legislation that effects family building and supports the RESOLVE’s Access to Care team. Sylvia Dao joined RESOLVE in the Summer of 2023. Her career journey began in the dynamic world of the technology industry, where she honed her skillsets in community management, training , and fundraising over 10 years. Sylvia is a Texas native with an educational background in Communication Studies from the University of Houston. With a heartfelt commitment to supporting those navigating family building challenges, she is enthusiastic about the opportunity to merge her professional experiences to drive positive change as RESOLVE’s Access to Care Manager. Sophia Elias joined RESOLVE in 2022 in a new role as Senior Manager of Corporate Engagement and Partnerships. She brings with her over 8 years of fundraising experience, mainly in national non-profit associations. She has worked in a variety of fundraising roles in leading nonprofits focused on the arts, social justice and advocacy, as well as health promotion and drug prevention, including: The Joffrey Ballet, UNIDOSUS, National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) and Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA). Additionally, Sophia has worked in a multinational Biotech company serving in a business development and consulting role. Sophia currently lives in Ohio where she also attended school, receiving her B.A. in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Ohio University and her M.A. in TESOL from Ohio Dominican University. Rebecca Flick joined RESOLVE in 2005. Rebecca’s experience as a non-profit professional began in 1998 with the American Occupational Therapy Association and since then she has continued as a strategic communications professional for other non-profits including, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and National School Boards Association. She received a BA in Communications from the University of Maryland, College Park and a certificate in Direct Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University.
As Chief External Affairs Officer for RESOLVE, Rebecca’s main responsibilities include creating and implementing RESOLVE’s communication plans, signature events (National Infertility Awareness Week and Night of Hope), and online strategies, as well as increasing the infertility community’s engagement in RESOLVE’s volunteer, advocacy and fundraising activities. Rebecca was diagnosed with infertility in 2006. She lives in Leesburg, VA with her husband, son, and daughter.

Cindy Hollister joined RESOLVE in 2014. She started her career in the software industry, then moved to non-profit arts management, a better fit for her personality and family. She holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and a master’s in education, both from the University of Buffalo. At RESOLVE, she enjoys interacting with Professional Members, volunteers, and donors, as well as working behind the scenes to support and problem solve with colleagues.

Ali Moore joined the staff of RESOLVE in 2023 and is currently the Communications Coordinator. She graduated with her bachelors from Longwood University, majoring in Communications with a concentration in Digital Media. Her experience prior to RESOLVE consists of freelance work as well as two marketing internships during her studies. As Communications Coordinator, Ali is responsible for supporting the communications team with day-to-day work and project management. She assists with content for RESOLVE’s website, email, social media and more.
