We asked. You answered, in a big way! Thank you to all who reached out to your U.S. Senators to ask that they oppose the judicial nomination of Sarah Pitlyk. The vote didn’t go the way we wanted, but it wasn’t from lack of trying. The relationships RESOLVE and our advocates have formed with key Senators like Senator Tammy Duckworth and Senator Patty Murray meant they were ready to fight for our community and stood up and spoke for all those that need IVF or surrogacy. We also want to thank ASRM for all their work on fighting this judicial nomination.

So what does this mean now? The word is out about Judge Sarah Pitlyk and we will be watching her decisions. Our community must stay vigilant in the event that like-minded people are nominated again.

RESOLVE will always fight against policies or leaders that target our community and create barriers in accessing every single family building option.

Unfortunately, this won’t be the last time we will need to raise our voices and fight for our right to build a family. If you’re angry and confused that this happened, we ask you to save the date for Advocacy Day, May 19-20, 2020 in Washington, D.C. where we will meet with our lawmakers and educate them about the dangers of anti-family policies and opinions. If you’re reading this on social media we invite you to stay connected and sign up for our emails.
